Grad Students.

Grad Students: They're not bad people, they just made terrible life choices.

Just joined 20 Something Bloggers, which appears to be a stellar way to find new blogs. I've been reading up on "PR" for non profits, how to initiate corporate sponsorship and the like. Starting the Peru Project from no where is exhaustingly confusing.

Took this quote from a group on 20SB (Grad School Bloggers) and am posting it in honor of the commencement of Single Subject Research Design, The last in-person plight (read: class) of my master's, and the jumping off point for my applied research in the fall (oh no! what to research?). Today, I read Horner et. al. (2005), "The Use of Single-Subject Research to Identify Evidence Based Practice in Special Education." Realized 1/2 way through I'd read it before, but it was worth another go.

Fundraising is sloooow. Although, Thomas Gibson (@GibsonThomas) (of Dharma and Greg and Criminal Minds) did RT the link to First Giving. Seemed like a major success at the time, but I don't think it made a difference. What if instead of retweeting, I could convince a celeb to DONATE? How baller would that be? I mean, if Chris Colfer gave $10.00 of his Glee money, I think all of my Gleek friends would follow suit. Right? Oh, who knows. The lovely Kristen Ruehman is a mastertweeter for Peru Project. What a gem!

If anyone has non profit PR insight, I'm dying for it. Projected departure was July 4th... but it looks like plane ticket will be purchased day of departure should funds trickle in as they have been.

Loving and studying in the classic city,

Sara
