Machu Picchu Weekend

You won't believe this.
Put a lot of pictures in this post... I'd just hit up this link.

Thursday: Biked 120 km from a peak in the Andes to the rain forest altitude in St. Maria.
- (Family will attest, I'm not a natural bike rider. This was my first bike experience with hand brakes and gears.)

Friday: Hiked half of an unfun ridiculous misadvertised hike, then took a taxi with Gigi the rest of the way to St. Teresa. Thermal pools in St. Teresa... incredible.

Saturday: Trekked 30 Km to Aguas Calientes along railroad tracks.
Sunday: Got up at 3:30am to get to Machu Picchu.
- Entered as #37 of the day.
- The most incredible thing I have ever seen.
- I had to stand quietly for a very long time to actually comprehend where I was and what this meant. Ask me in person for deets on sweet MP.
- Our agency never booked our train tickets home so we ended up running around like crazy in some pretty insane rain with our packs, paying for a later train, and getting home at 1:15am.

- My whole body hurts!

- I was blown away by every inch of this weekend!

- There is nothing like this place to remind you with every mountain that you are not the most important thing in the world. God bless sweet Peru.

- Also, Soles for Soles has reached an awesome point! THANK YOU for giving! We have enough to get all of the children who are desperate their basic shoes. We still have orthopedic shoes we can work towards, medication, soap, a million things! Don't don't lose the drive or momentum, please!

PS Really though, picasa all my pictures here.
